Sacramento, California – July 18, 2005 - Bob Kornhauser, President/Owner of 100% BASS/Legends of the West, and Marketing firm to be announced have arranged with the California State Fair to promote and hold the richest specialty bass tournament ever in the west.
100% Bass is proud to announce the inauguration of “The Legends of the West” Bass Tournament and Exhibit to be held at the 2006 California State Fair from Friday August 11th to Monday September 4th. This three week extravaganza will include a 4000 square foot exhibit displaying a casting pond for kids, daily professional seminars, industry leaders with the latest in fishing technology, and a display featuring the history of western bass fishing.
Culminating this exhibit will be the awarding of a check to the Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Fund. On the final weekend there will be an invitation only Bass Tournament featuring the greatest anglers who have ever won a tournament in the western United States. These anglers will come together for three days of intense competition on the world renowned California Delta. This Pro/Am style format will continue with only 30 anglers making the final days event and eligible for the richest payback ever in western bass fishing, where one Legend will be crowned “The Best of All Time” on stage at the 2006 California State Fair.
