Aim Marine Hosts DVL Night Tournament

Aim Marine will be hosting another Diamond Valley Night Tournament this Saturday, the 17th. The entry fee for this tournament is $230, with three $20 options available per team. There will be a free barbeque for anglers in attendance, and the Aim Marine Foundation will be hosting another raffle to raise money for the foundation. Anyone interested in fishing this event, and taking advantage of a rare opportunity to fish Diamond Valley at night can sign up on Saturday at the lake. Lynne Peterson will be at the lake accepting entries beginning at 5 pm on Saturday.

The Aim Marine Foundation will be hosting another one of their "Fish With a Kid Days" on Saturday, September 24th at Lake Murray in San Diego. This event will run from 9 am to 2 pm in the parking lot adjacent to the boat dock. The event is open to all Children's Hospital Cancer Unit patients who come with a legal guardian. We are expecting anywhere from 50 to 75 kids to attend. We will be providing a free barbeque for all children, parents, and volunteers as well as a free raffle for the registered kids. As usual, we need volunteers, whether it be to cook or take kids fishing aboard their boat. To sign-up to volunteer, please call Kellen at Aim Marine at (619)443-0031 ext. 106.

On Sunday September 25th, beginning at 3 pm, Aim Marine will be hosting our second customer appreciation party of the year. Once again we will be having a free barbeque, seminars, and a raffle for our guests. Mark Kile, former BASSMASTER Tour Rookie of the Year, and current touring angler will be giving a seminar about his "home water" Lake Havasu. With the National Bass West Championship, and the WON Bass Tri-States being held at Lake Havasu in early October, this seminar will provide plenty of valuable information to local anglers heading out to fish their year end championships. Mark has won dozens of team and pro tournaments on Lake Havasu, and is considered by many to be the best Havasu fisherman around. Also speaking will be local saltwater angler, and co-host of Let's Talk Hook-Up, "Rock Cod" Rick Maxa. Rick will be sharing his knowledge on the local inshore saltwater scene. In addition to the seminars, the crew from the All Outdoors Radio Network will be broadcasting their show live from Aim Marine from 5 pm to 8 pm. If you're not able to attend the party, please listen in on 1170 AM to catch the show. Jim, Ed, and John will cover everything outdoors, as they do every Sunday evening from 5 pm to 8 pm on KCBQ 1170 AM.

This year's Aim Marine Boating & Fishing Jamboree is going to be October 22nd and 23rd at Aim Marine. Our annual "open house" show promises to be bigger and better then last year, with more vendors, more free give-a-ways, and deeper discounts on everything we sell. Last year's event drew an estimated 4,000 customers over the two day weekend, and we hope to eclipse that mark this year. This year's seminar speakers will be Ron Shuffield, currently ranked 13th in the State Farm Bassfan.com World Rankings. Ron has earned over one million dollars as a professional angler, and is a 7 time winner on the BASS Tournament Trail.

Also speaking will be Skeeter/Yamaha pro Mark Kile. Mark was Rookie of the Year on the BASS Tour in 2003, and is always one of the most consistent anglers on tour. This year's show will feature a strong saltwater presence, in addition to the freshwater seminars aboard the bass tank, the saltwater guys will have their own seminar stage and be doing seminars all weekend.

Conway Bowman, former host of ESPN's In Search of Flywater and expert saltwater fly-fishing guide will be sharing his knowledge and showing his slide presentation from his fly-fishing travels around the world. Mike Gardner, author, and guide will also be speaking on the saltwater stage. Mike is recognized as one of the west's top speakers on both fresh and saltwater bass fishing techniques. The Jamboree will also be the first opportunity to see Skeeter's new I Class line of boats on the west coast. Skeeter's new Class of boats are the most intelligent, most innovative in the market today. This year's show will feature unprecedented discounts on all of our boats, if you're in the market for a new boat this is definitely going to be the time to buy. The Jamboree will be open from 10 am to 4 pm both days.

The Aim Marine Foundation, in conjunction with the Aim Marine Boating & Fishing Jamboree will be hosting their annual night tournament. Formerlly an invitational only tournament, this will be an open tournament limited to the first 80 teams that sign-up. The tournament will be at San Vicente on October 22nd, immediately following the conclusion of the first day of the Aim Marine Boating & Fishing Jamboree. Entry forms and tournament flyers are available at Aim Marine, stop by or call for more information.
