The Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Championship showcases the top 40 professional redfish teams in the country. After day two of the event, the field will be cut to the top five teams that will fish out of identically rigged Triton boats, equipped with Mercury outboard engines, Lowrance electronics and MotorGuide trolling motors. The winning team will take home $50,000 in prize money.
However, there is much more at stake than just the $50,000 first place cash prize. The team with the most cumulative points after the five regular season events and the Championship will win the Oh Boy! Oberto Team of the Year award and $10,000 in cash. The top 5 teams that have garnered the most Angler Rewards points by displaying their official Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup patch and decal will divvy up $15,000 in cash.
There will be fun, food and flying dogs as the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Championship rolls into South Padre Island. The activities begin at 3 PM on Friday and 10 AM on Saturday and Sunday at FishBones Pier and Grill so come out and bring the entire family!
