Research Machine Development are the manufacturers of the Trailer Saftey Device. The self contained trailer safety device provides a means for preventing damage to the tire on a trailer when the leaf springs fail.
The device also prevents the axle from twisting and keeps the axle perpendicular to the frame. Using an inflation device, the device is activated upon the failure of the leaf spring. The device raises the trailer frame in relation to the normal operating height and keeps the axle aligned properly to the trailer frame.
The safety device has a weight capacity of 1,500 lbs. per axle, our future line will have a weight capacity of 3,000 lbs. per axle using a 12 volt air compressor an tank.
The device is passive when not in use and only operates when activated by a leaf spring failure
