The Canadian Vanity Cup comes to America!

It’s finally coming to America! Pier Resorts in association with Angler’s Press is excited to present the first annual “America’s” Vanity Cup team tournament which will be held on beautiful Clear Lake, March 10 & 11th, and hosted by Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa. The event is being presented by Cheetah Energy Drink, the newest and most dynamic energy drink on the market and will feature the richest payout in team bass fishing history!

You heard it right…over $225,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to a limited field of 200 boats and will give some western team the opportunity to take home a CASH prize of $100,000! And second place won’t be too bad either, as the runners up will receive a 2007 Chrysler 300 courtesy of People’s Folsom Lake Chrysler/Jeep/Hyundai dealership in the Folsom automall, followed by a “Cast & Blast” package for the 3rd place finishers (valued at over $20,000), along with cash and prizes awarded to a portion of the remaining field.

The “America’s Vanity Cup” draws it’s origins from the Canadian version of the event that has been part of an on-going tradition in the Canadian province of Saskatawan, drawing a full field of teams from all of the Canadian provinces and many northern U.S states, for an astounding 13 consecutive years. Having received the province’s highest award for the “Best Outdoor Event of the Year” (eclipsing the popular CFL “Grey Cup” football event), it is by far, the most popular and exclusive event attended by the most prominent walleye anglers in the nation of Canada, and Northwest Territories. In following with the grand heritage of this Canadian-born event, the time for the Vanity Cup to evolve and come to the United States is at hand, where it’s rich traditions will continue, making it an event bigger than life.

Adding more excitement to this open team event, will be a special pre-fish award of $1,000 cash given out each day to any registered angler weighing the biggest bass over 10 pounds, a delicious free buffet dinner the evening prior to the event, special seminars, a huge raffle for premium prizes given to those anglers finishing out of the money, and much, much, more!
