The 2007 Future Pro Tour season kicks off next month offering you – the beginning to intermediate level bass fishing angler, another exciting year of opportunities to compete - at as nominal expense, in the fun and excitement of a "big-time" tournament environment, where you can meet lots of great people, share information and just have fun.
In line with our mission statement: "A Great Place to Learn" we will continue to host pre-registration seminars before each event featuring some of the west's top bass professionals in and effort to provide you with key information and one-on-one instruction on how to catch bass on the various lakes and impoundments we visit. The Fish Sniffer, one of California's top fishing publications will be reporting on each Future Pro Tour event, featuring pictures and stories about FPT events, and several of our events will be filmed and broadcast via Comcast Sports Net on Saturday mornings!
And for those of you that want to fish with your son, daughter, grandson etc., the exclusive "Future" Future Pro division is back where the top 2 teams with anglers under 17 years old receive a check and a trophy! What better way to keep our youth involved in bass fishing and get them ready for Western Bass.Com's up-coming Pro-Teen event!
For 2007, the Angler’s of the Year - in each division and region will have the opportunity to earn up to $2,000 cash for their AOY titles, along with limited product sponsorships. And, just like last year, our 2007 FPT Classic champions will receive the keys to a fully-rigged Ranger 188vs with Evinrude E-Tec outboard along with the prestigious Future Pro Tour Classic title!
The season opener for the Central region will be March 3rd at Don Pedro, and for the Northern region at Lake Berryessa on March 24th.
