PROFESSIONAL ANGLERS ASSOCIATION INTRODUCES PAA CORPORATE CUP

Unique Format Pairs Tour Pros with Corporate Partners October 9-11, 2008

Benton, Ky. – The Professional Anglers Association (PAA) is proud to announce the 2008 PAA Corporate Cup. The event is a high stakes professional bass fishing tournament on Alabama’s Pickwick Lake in Florence, Ala.

The PAA Corporate Cup will be a unique format utilizing all PAA Tour level members paired with corporate partners sharing the thrill of professional competition. Presented in conjunction with Florence-Lauderdale Tourism, The PAA Corporate Cup will be unlike other Pro-am styled events in that all contestants will be competing for a share of a sizeable purse.

PAA President Tim Horton, of nearby Muscle Shoals, Ala. said that the organization is looking forward to the event. “This will be an exciting venture for the PAA, the City of Florence, and our corporate partners,” said Horton. “The PAA Corporate Cup will bring all parties together in a full scale, high stakes event.”

Horton stated that the corporations will benefit from close quarters with some of the world’s premier tournament professionals. “The PAA Corporate Cup will be a great way to introduce both endemic and non-endemic corporations to competition while sharing our passion for the sport” Horton explained. “The event will be a showcase of our sport, its anglers, the City of Florence and the PAA.”

Each team will consist of two tour level PAA members and two corporate partners who will compete in a shared weight format similar to the successful Toyota Texas Bass Classic held on Texas’ Lake Fork each of the past two years.

Final details of the PAA Corporate Cup will be announced at a later date, however the dates of the event are set for October 6-11, with competition days scheduled for October 9 – 11 on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Ala.; daily festivities will occur at McFarland Park.
