Skeet Reese and Lucky Craft to Introduce New Lure Colors at Bassmaster Classic

Lure Maker and Elite Series Pro Collaborate on Hot New Colors

With the Bassmaster Classic at Shreveport, Louisiana’s Red River only 17 days away from blastoff, anglers are busily preparing for the event, and like many others, 2007 Bassmaster Angler of the Year Skeet Reese has been working with sponsors to prepare, not only for the tournament, but for the upcoming season and tackle year.

The result of collaboration between Reese, and his title sponsor Lucky Craft, is a new set of colors that will initially be available exclusively at Reese’s booth at the Bassmaster Classic Exposition February 20 – 22, 2009 at Shreveport’s Convention Center. After their initial launch at the Classic Expo, the baits will be available through Reese’s website; www.skeetereeseinc.com for a limited time.

“I wanted to come up with colors that would tie the effective combination of white and chartreuse into a set to give anglers the right patterns for most water clarities,” said Reese, winner of three BASS events. “I went to Lucky Craft with the idea, and they were so interested, the president of Lucky Craft USA hand pained the first samples; I think anglers are really going to like what they offer them.”

The trio of colors will allow an angler to use specific Lucky Craft bait through any water condition from semi clear to heavily stained. All of the colors feature Lucky Craft’s world class paint quality, including their popular iridescent MS scales affixed to the sides of the bait, and a light glitter coat to throw off additional flash into the water column. All colors feature a smoky gray back with varying amounts of pearl and chartreuse from the belly to the sides.

The paint jobs, called White Flash, Gunmetal Shad and Crack, will be available initially on six of Lucky Craft’s most popular models, Fat CB BDS 3 & 4 crankbaits, Pointer 100 jerkbait, Flat CBD 20 crankbait, and Reese’s signature S.K.T. Min MR and DR crankbaits. All models will retail for $16.99 at both the Classic Expo and from Reese’s website.

“I’m excited about these colors,” said the Bassmaster Millionaire. “I like to have things organized, and with this set of patterns, I know I have the right color to catch fish under any conditions, I know the rest of the country will soon see how effective they are as well.”

To see the new colors in person, stop by Reese’s official booth, number 426 on the second floor of the Bassmaster Classic expo in Shreveport, February 20 – 22. All bait models will be available for purchase in limited quantities, as will many unique Skeet Reese branded items.
