NAVIONICS Cup - The third jewel in FPT Triple Crown

SACRAMENTO, CA. Baseball has its triple play, basketball, the triple-double, and horse racing notes the Triple Crown as its sports ultimate three-piece achievement. Highly celebrated due to the fact that they are so difficult to obtain, it is because of their difficulty, that hard-core competitors in each respective sport, often become myopic in their desire to achieve them.

And anglers participating in the 2009 Future Pro Tour, which is due to host it’s season opener on Lake Don Pedro (March 7th) and Lake Berryessa (March 21st), the opportunity has never been better to have a shot at capturing one of these crown jewels and reaping the rewards that come with capturing just one of the three most prestigious titles in amateur bass fishing.

In addition to the FPT’s Angler of the Year title, and the FPT Classic crown, FPT anglers now have the opportunity to be the first recipients of the inaugural NAVIONICS Cup, a title that not only denotes consistency in angling excellence, but carries with it a full promotional sponsorship with the marine industries leading manufacture of electronic mapping charts.

“Future Pro Tour competitors, and bass anglers in general, are truly amazing in how they use their various skill sets on the water”, noted Tshombe Moore, regional sales manager for NAVIONICS. They are constantly adapting to changing environments, and are required to focus on the most subtle of details in order to be successful on the water. At NAVIONICS we strive to do the same, and presenting this NAVIONICS Cup title to teams with that kind of determination and focus is simply a symbol of what is possible when you commit to being the best.”

2-time B.A.S.S champion and NAVIONICS national pro-staff member Ish Monroe concurs, and challenges anglers participating in the 2009 tour, to take advantage of this program which aptly promotes angling excellence. “Taking advantage of these types of challenges – and opportunities, is what drives me to be the best at what I do”, noted the B.A.S.S Elite Series pro. This is a great start for those that wish to push their game to the next level.”

How the NAVIONICS Cup program works is:

Teams must register for the NAVIONICS Cup program prior to, or at the morning check-in table at the first event of the 2009 season. At the end on the season, the highest finishing team - from both northern and central regions, enrolled in the NAVIONICS Cup program will receive a full promotional sponsorship that consists of:

- Placement on the NAVIONCS promotional team for the 2010 FPT season (Jan-Dec)

- One NAVIONICS Platinum Chip for (each team).

- A decaled NAVIONICS boat wrap (one team member’s boat).

- Custom embroidered NAVIONICS jackets, shirts, and caps denoting promotional team appointment.

- Paid entry fees into the 2010 Future Pro Tour season (each team).

- A $500 gas card to assist with 2010 traveling expenses (each team).

- Profile and photo placement on a special section of the NAVIONICS website for additional exposure.

So there you have it...one fantastic opportunity to take your game to the next level and gain access and exposure to the "promotional side” of angling - while doing what you love to do!

The Future Pro Tour, along with NAVIONICS, is pleased to present this opportunity to FPT anglers and look forward to a fun and exciting “race for the Cup” in 2009!

See you all on the water!
