GRANITE BAY, Ca - The second Future Pro Tour event of the season "The Capitol City Showdown" on Folsom Lake will be here in less than 3 weeks, and we know that many of our participants - especially those from the bay area and beyond, have never seen or even fished this awesome body of water. Well before anyone starts panicking about how they are going to get the scoop on a lake they have never seen...stop sweatin!
The Future Pro Tour is pleased to once again bring back our "On the Water Pre-fish Support” series, an concept that is wholly congruent with our motto: “A great place to Learn" and helping anglers build their bass fishing skills.
Here's how it works: On Friday April 17th , the day before the FPT Folsom event, twelve of the best pro anglers that fish Folsom Lake will be stationed – on the water, at designated areas of Folsom Lake between the hours of 11:00am and 2:00pm. Their purpose will be to provide for anyone that asks, specific insights on how to catch bass in that particular section of the lake.
A map of Folsom Lake, designating the particular area in which each pro will be stationed at, will be available for all to view (and printout) on the Future Pro Tour website. Simply go to the FPT website, print out the map, and take it with you on pre-fish day. You can then, if need be, use it to find the pro-support staff person on duty at that station, and get all the "real-time" information you may need. These pros will have special pre-fish support flags on their boats so that you will be able to identify them.
Our pre-fish support maps will also be available at Capitol City Marine in Citrus Heights, Fishermen's Warehouse in Rancho Cordova, and at West Marine Products off Granite Dr. in Rocklin.
Later that evening, many of these pro-support staff members will also be at our optional pre-registration seminar festivities to be held from 4-7pm at Capitol City Marine, to check back with you and help evaluate how you fared with the information you were given.
