The Thunder Valley Outdoors /Future Pro Tour Classic Championship crown, the Angler of the Year title, and the 2011 NAVIONICS Cup Award, are all titles that represent consistency in angling excellence, and have proven themselves to be helpful in providing assistance to those that seek to take their games to the next level or obtain industry sponsorships.
And for anglers participating in this year’s Thunder Valley Outdoors Future Pro Tour, which is due to begin its season next month on Lake Mc Clure (March 12th) and Lake Berryessa (March 26th), the opportunity has never been greater for those that desire a shot at capturing one – if not all, of the three “jewels” the FPT has made available to it participants.
Most everyone is familiar with the FPT Classic Championship and Angler of the Year titles, fully knowing what they bring in terms of amateur-level angling recognition, but the third and relatively newest “jewel” in the FPT’s triple crown – the NAVIONICS Cup Award, is certainly worthy of re-introduction.
NAVIONICS Cup back for 2011
Now in its 3rd year, the NAVIONICS Cup is an achievement award designed to recognize and reward teams that embrace the philosophy of striving for angling excellence and consistency on the water - a philosophy that is totally congruent with NAVIONICS Corp’s own commitment to excellence and consistency within the electronic mapping industry.
“Future Pro Tour competitors, and bass anglers in general, are truly amazing in how they apply their skill sets on the water”, noted Tshombe Moore, regional sale director for NAVIONICS Corp. They constantly adapt to changing environments, and are required to focus on subtle details in order to be successful. At NAVIONICS we strive to do the same, and are honored to once again present the NAVIONICS Cup award in 2011.
2-time B.A.S.S/FLW champion and NAVIONICS national pro-staff member Ish Monroe concurs, and admonishes anglers participating in the 2011 tour, to take advantage of this program which aptly promotes angling excellence. “Challenges – and opportunities, are the things that drive me to succeed, noted the B.A.S.S Elite Series pro. And I feel that this program presents a great opportunity for amateur level anglers to continue to challenge their competitive natures.”
How the 2011 NAVIONICS Cup program works:
Teams must register for the NAVIONICS Cup program prior to, or at the morning check-in table, at the first event of the 2011 season. At the end on the 2011 season, the highest finishing team - from both northern and central regions, which are enrolled in the NAVIONICS Cup program, will receive a full promotional sponsorship that consists of:
• Placement on the NAVIONCS promotional team for the 2012 FPT season (Jan-Dec)
• One NAVIONICS Platinum Chip for (each team).
• A decaled NAVIONICS boat wrap (one team member’s boat).
• Custom embroidered NAVIONICS jerseys and caps denoting promotional team appointment.
• Paid entry fees into the 2012 Future Pro Tour season (each team).
• A $500 gas card to assist with 2012 traveling expenses (each team).
• Profile/photo placement on a special section of the NAVIONICS website for additional exposure.
