RAM TRUCK BRAND JOINS INSHORE FISHING
ASSOCIATION
Sponsorship includes Redfish Tour,
Kayak Tour and All-New Pro Am Events
LIZELLA, GA. (February 13, 2013)
Chrysler Group LLC's Ram Truck brand, a leading manufacturer of rugged and
durable trucks for anglers and outdoorsmen, has joined the Inshore Fishing
Association (IFA) as official sponsor for the 2013 season. Ram will join some
of the fishing industry's most respected brands as a tour sponsor of the IFA
Redfish and Kayak Tours. The partnership also includes sponsorship of the
all-new Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge series presented by Cabela's.
Set to begin in 2013, the all-new Pro Am events are being billed as the
ultimate redfish showdown, featuring the sport's best anglers in a high stakes,
made-for-TV competition.
“We're thrilled to have Ram Trucks as our newest tour sponsor,” said IFA
Marketing Director Bart Schad. “The Ram Truck brand brings so much value to IFA
anglers. They build incredible products for outdoorsmen and women and their
passion for boating and fishing speaks for itself. It's a natural partnership
for the IFA and we look forward to growing our relationship in 2013.”
The Ram Truck brand continues to establish its own identity and clearly define
its customer since its launch as a new Chrysler Group LLC vehicle brand.
Creating a
stand-alone brand for Ram trucks has allowed the brand to concentrate on how
core customers use their trucks and what new features they'd like to see.
Whether focusing on a family that uses its half-ton truck day in and day out, a
hard-working Ram Heavy Duty owner or a business that depends on its commercial
vehicles every day, Ram has the truck market covered.
“The Ram Truck brand is proud to be a partner of the Inshore Fishing
Association,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler
de Mexico. “An angler's truck is as essential as his or her boat, rod or
tackle. Ram builds trucks that meet the demanding needs of outdoorsmen and
offers features found nowhere else.”
Drawing inshore anglers from Texas to the Carolinas and beyond, the IFA Redfish
Tour is the largest and oldest redfish tour in the nation. Offering anglers the
opportunity to compete in low-entry fee events, redfish anglers can fish close
to home, minimize expenses and compete for lucrative winnings and contingency
prizes.
The IFA Kayak Fishing Tour presented by Hobie Fishing is the fastest-growing
kayak fishing tournament trail in the county. Kayak anglers competing in the
catch-photograph-release tournaments can take advantage of the numerous money
and product prizes awarded to competitors.
