Mercury angler Brent Ehrler wins FLW Tour tournament

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Mercury Marine-sponsored professional angler Brent Ehrler added another major tournament victory to his successful career Sunday, winning the Walmart FLW Tour bass event in Jasper, Ala. The Redlands, Calif., native led all four days of the tournament, which took place March 7-10 on Lewis Smith Lake. Ehrler weighed in the top five-fish limit three of the four days of the tournament to take and hold the lead throughout the event. Erhler weighed in 20 fish totaling 60 pounds, 9 ounces during the tournament, finishing 7 pounds, 4 ounces ahead of second-place finisher Jacob Powroznik of Prince George, Va., also a Mercury-sponsored angler. The win in Jasper marks Ehrler's fourth Walmart FLW Tour win and brings his career tournament earnings to more than $1.9 million.
