Costa will be launching 13 new styles of sunglasses during 2013,
including the new Cut.
Costa says that it blends an ‘on trend’ retro look with the
company’s premium performance technology that includes no-slip nose pads, sturdy
integral hinges and near indestructible co-injected moulded
nylon frames.
The Cut is available in several of Costa’s new frame colours such as Ocean (light blue), Squall (black gray),
Honey Tortoise and Ombre Coconut Fade.
It is available in the patented 580™ lens technology. The lenses
block yellow light – the harshest light – from entering the eye. The result,
says the Daytona Beach, Florida, company is razor sharp colour
enhancement and unparalleled polarisation.
Costa’s 580 lenses are offered in either hard-coated,
optically-ground glass (580G) or super lightweight, impact-resistant
polycarbonate (580P). Available in gray, copper, amber and blue and green lens colours, all Costa sunglasses are polarised,
eliminate glare and protect against UVA and UVB rays.
The Cut is also available with prescription (Rx) Costa sun
lenses through an authorised optical retailer.
“Combining our 580 lens technology with proprietary lens design and in-house
lens processing, we are able to offer the sharpest, clearest Rx sunglasses on
the market,” adds Costa.
“This year Costa is introducing a host of new sunglass shapes
and colours for outdoor enthusiasts not willing to
sacrifice premium polarisation for style,” said Chas
MacDonald, President of Costa. “The Cut has all the performance attributes you
would expect, but with a flatter curve in its shape, giving it that retro
feel.”
