EFTTEX 2013: Shimano in seventh heaven

Shimano underlined its dominance of the fixed spool reel market when it won its seventh consecutive award at EFTTEX in Vienna. The Japanese fishing tackle manufacturer took the Best Fixed Spool Reel category yet again – this time with its Stella SW 30.000 – during the EFTTEX Best New Products Awards ceremony that also saw it take runner-up in Best Braided Line (PowerPro Zero Impact), Best Monofilament Line (Exage) and Best New Fly Rod ( G.Loomis Pro 4X Nymph). Chris de Haan, Shimano Team Leader R&D, said: “It’s truly incredible to be awarded Best Fixed Spool Reel seven times in a row. Our team members are very excited and proud of this fantastic result. “The Stella SW 30.000 is the largest and most powerful spinning reel ever made by Shimano. It focuses on absolute power. To achieve that, toughness, cranking power, rigidity, water resistance and drag performances have been improved. “The new Stella SW wins fierce battles through high-level integration of power and smoothness.” - See more at: http://www.angling-international.com/efttex-2013-shimano-in-seventh-heaven/#sthash.2kPm4xQ4.dpuf
