New for 2014: Ranger Z518C and Z519C

FLIPPIN, Ark. - Different fisheries call for different styles of fishing, a change in bait size or maybe a tweak in presentation. A one-size-fits-all-approach doesn't work for fish, and it doesn't work too well for anglers, either. With the new Ranger Z518C and Z519C, anglers whose fishing styles gravitate towards heavy cover, anglers who drive lighter tow vehicles or those who wish to take advantage of the efficiency of a smaller outboard can now do so without sacrificing on the innovative features and unrivaled performance of Ranger's Z500C Series.

Measuring 18 feet, 8 inches and rated for 200 horsepower, the new Ranger Z518C is built on a celebrated and proven running surface with enhanced fishing and comfort features as well as refined styling. Likewise, the new Ranger Z519C, rated for 225 horsepower, boasts a proven hull design and measures 19 feet, 6 inches in length. Both models offer the ability to store 8-foot rods in both the center and portside rod locker and are available in single or dual console designs. Both come factory-equipped with a setback plate, Lowrance HDS7 at the console and HDS5 at the bow, in addition to a Minn Kota Fortrex trolling motor and recessed foot pedal.

"We've been extremely successful with our Z520C and have been working hard to expand the line and bring the same kind of features and styling to the 18 and 19-foot boat segment," said Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper. "This is a proven running surface that offers the same features that the top professional bass anglers have in their 20- and 21-foot versions. You can still experience Ranger's Z500C Series - and reap the benefits of it - with a boat that's rated for 200 or 225 horsepower."

The new Ranger Z518C and Z519C offer true bucket seats for both the driver and passenger with a center console that serves as a step for the rear deck and offers storage space underneath. At the helm, the fiberglass console is offset to allow room for longer rods on the front deck, while also delivering ample legroom. Both models offer a wealth of storage options, including a running rod rack on the starboard side, large dry storage and insulated cooler forward of the driver's console, and integrated storage under the front-deck step. Both models feature a large rear casting deck highlighted by a divided, aerated livewell complete with a sliding splashguard.

Exclusive to the new Z518C, Z519C and the entire Z500C Series is the new remote drain plug, which allows for water to be drained without the need to manually remove the plug and also prevents the plug from being lost or misplaced at launch. Both models also offer built-in LED bow lights and an external charger plug, which allows for batteries to be charged without the need for compartment hatches to be left open and also allows for batteries to be easily charged even when the boat cover is on the vessel.

"There are advantages to running an 18- or 19-foot boat, especially in some of these famous big-bass destinations across the country where you're fishing every conceivable piece of cover and getting as close as you can but you need all the tackle storage of a larger boat," Hopper said. "The Z518C and Z519C are perfect for this scenario: highly maneuverable yet built with the same efficient layout and features popular on our 20- and 21-foot designs."

Both the Z518C and Z519C feature the undeniable advantage of a custom-matched RangerTrail® trailer, equipped with a Road Armor finish, LED lights, aluminum wheels, ratchet tie downs, and COOL Hub lubrication system as standard equipment. Designed and built in the same factory to the same, exacting standards as all Ranger boats, RangerTrail trailers are custom aligned with individually balanced wheels, equipped with torsion axle suspensions and locking, swing-away tongues. With matching fiberglass fenders and full-size spare, the RangerTrail trailer delivers remarkable peace of mind when trailering and complements the aggressive performance and striking good looks of the boat itself.
