Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa Lake is at an elevation of 4,800 feet and has 3,800 surface acres.

Largemouth and smallmouth bass are available to the angler. Other species found in the lake are northern pike, catfish, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon.

This high plains Pecos River reservoir offers a variety of water sports. Hiking trails wind through the wild areas around the lake. Eagles roost on snags at water's edge or on small islands on the lake. Also look for scaled quail, mourning dove, and migrating osprey.

Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump, Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply).

Located 3 miles north of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. 121 Miles east of Albuquerque off U.S. 66 / I 40.

Report: Fishing was slow. A few small panfish but that was about it. Tried several methods, from jigs to bottom fishing. Looking to find new spots at this lake. please e-mail me with any info. johnmbod@steelersfan.net

Spring: if you guys give some bait to the fish they'll try to eat it, thats a real fact. if you guys use an fishing pool, you could catch fish even better. Also you need to throw some fireworks so the fish could run into the hook so you could catch the fish. I have used these methods for many years and i have had many years of success. Summer:

Spring: the lake had no fish i geuse the winter kill all the fish. So i say if you what to go fishing go to Navajo lake. I what last weekend at I cet alot of Large mouth bass like 8 to 9 pounds and there more fish to go. Summer:
