Report: Got a late start but picked up a nice 3lb smallmouth on the first point mid lake on topwater. One more blowup then slow for awhile. Moved towards the south shore and picked up two more about 2lb's. Slowed a bit then swithched to drop shot and picked one up on the first cast then nothing for about two hours. Then swithced back to topwater and stuck with it the rest of the day and finished with 9 fish all smallmouth. Had two pushing four pounds for a best five about 13-14 pounds. Not one striper boil and the shad have moved off the banks. Lake getting low but saw only 2 maybe 3 other fisherman so you have the lake all to yourself.

Report: Nice day on the lake. Was hoping to nail some nice largemouth but could only manage 8 spots in about 4 hours fishing. Started at about 7am and fished till around 11am. Seems the bite is better closer to the dam. Very, very clear water. Probably around 15 ft. Biggest was about a 2 pounder, nothing larger. Still a fun day tho.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Used jigs and senkos. Probably a better jig bite. Didn't try reaction baits too much but will next time.

      Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: The water clarity was more like 30 feet and fishing was tough for awhile but I ended up with 9 bass over 1.5# and the best 2 were about 2 3/4#. One bigger fish came off the bank in maybe 10' of water while the other bigger fish came out of 40' Of water. On the trailer by 1pm because I wore myself out throwing a stupid bama rig for an hour. Quit dropshotting after catching 3 trout in 5 casts at 30' deep.
      City: Oakhurst

Tips: I caught fish on 5 diff. things. Slow was the only common thing I can think of. No action on any reaction baits.

Report: Averaging just 1 bite per 2hr trip. I broke off a big girl on a senko with #5 Maxima. Next trip I got a #3 on a beaver. No bites today.
      City: Oakhurst

Tips: Drag plastics slow? I don't know if the fish are refusing my baits or if I am not around fish. I am shore fishing BTW. I wish they would finish the dam ork so I could fish some better spots.

      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The Bass Classics of Santa Clara Valley had a good time with rain, wind and clouds but good fishing. It was good in the morning on main lake steep rocky banks with everyone around us catching 1-2 fish the first hour on darthead worms and spider grubs in 20-40 ft of water. I used a spider grub and only had seven keepers all day but it was good enough for second place with 11.35 lbs. In the afternoon the fish moved back in the pockets and coves and into 10-20 ft of water. Ray Garcia won with 11.75 lbs and he was dragging a split shot worm on long slow tapering points.
      City: Fremont

Tips: Fish slow and hard and with a light weight I was using a 3/8 oz football head darthead on my spider grubs in 15-45 ft.

      Water Temp: 63

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished 3 hours in the middle of the day. I found a large school of fish on bait at Razorback on the right but couldn't get nay to go. It got warm so I ran some sunny banks with a blade for 1 fish and 2 hits but it was slow. It was also so warm that I sought out some shade. Hit a steep shady bank and busted 7 quality fish on a 1/4 oz homemade jig with a twin trailer. These fish were in about 5' of water. My dad picked up a few behind me at 25' on a dropshot but they were smaller fish. We picked up a few on a point over 40' deep that weren't bad fish.
      City: Oakhurst

Tips: Don't be afraid to fish fast or shallow. It was a pretty easy day after we left the first fish.

      Water Temp: N/A

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Still cant believe how clear this water is here. Started out with topwater and picked 4 Smallmouth 2 over 3lb the other's a solid 2lb. Had several blow up's wish we would have cought them also. Well as alway's the sun came out and the topwater died but you could still see one now and then come up for a look. Switched to plati's in the same area and not one bite. So then I went looking around and found an area where they were on a decent crankbait bite. Funny thing is I never fished that area in all the year's I've fished this lake. Ended up with 15 fish all but three Smallmouth. Best five about 15lb's great day.

PS: the inspection is a joke.

Report: Got fish early on shallow points in tablas. Spooks, buzzbaits, blades, and traps. After 9 caught two small fish on a drop shot. Bite died with the sun. Left at 1.

Tips: Catch fish early on reaction baits cause it gets tough later in the day. Fish shallow points didnt get bit by dam or other deep rocks.

      Water Temp: 73.9 - 75

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Decided to hit the lake after 4 long months away, with the numerous repairs to the boat and house renovation (total), finally had the opprotunity to go fishing in my boat.

Started in Pozo, saw lots of fish busting surface but found they were just this years hatch. Threw some top water for about an hour with no takers or lookers. Headed to lopez arm and finally caught some fish...LOL 2 small dinks and nothing the rest of the day. Friend who was with me lost a very good fish, he was using 6lb test and the fish dragged his line to bushes 20 feet away without even turning its head. Would liked to have seen that one. Anyway finally lost it after getting tangled in the brush, said he could feel it but couldn't get a grip.
