Report: only fished for about 1 1/2hrs as the weather got nasty, got one in the first 20min at 5.6lb largemouth on a baby brush hog. Fatest lm I have ever seen at that size, I could feel a fish in its stomach and it still ate. temps stabilize around 50 to 52 it should be good

Report: I talked to a few guys that were fishin cranks and not having much success so I thought I would share my thoughts on this bait.
I fish a 7ft rod with a full spool of 10lb line. This combination gives me a super long cast allowing me to keep my bait in the strike zone longer ( which is on the bottom )and cover allot of water. The light line also lets my bait run deeper and allows more action on the bait. Fish it with an eratic retrieve as soon as it hits something. Yes, I get allot of backlash with this rig, especialy in the wind and yes, I do break off some baits when it gets hung but you cant win if you dont play so we live with it. Let the fish tell you if your doing it right by how hard they commit to the bight. If they are hitting and pulling off you may need a color or action change. If they hit hard and take it deep, dont change a thing. Keep throwing it and looking for simillar area`s. Hope this will help a few of you.

Report: This report is for APPLEGATE.... Got to Applegate this morning at 0545 just as Bob was opening the gate... Put in and started fishing the Squaw arm... Made a bad cast and spooked a BIG fish in some willows when I went in to retrieve my lure..... Stuck a 4.1 largemouth two bushes down from the one I spooked, and thought I had them figured out... Next fish was a 17" smallie from the same cove 20' deep on a nothing bottom.... So much for the pattern.... Nothing else until 11:30 on a point across from the Copper boat ramp, a 2lb smallie in 26 feet of water..... Off the lake at 12:30 with still no pattern working...... Hope it's a little better for me at the club tournament weekend after next.......
      City: Williams, OR

Tips: Ran into a guy that I knew from about 20 years ago, and he said that he had caught 11 smallies on rip baits and splitshots.........

      Water Temp: 57

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went to Irongate yesterday (actually went a little further south to check out a lake that opens April 30) and fished near the boat ramp for a while.. Had my small boat so didn't venture very far out onto the lake.. Tried Senkos & a Terminator Spinnerbait and caught two small (1lb.) fish on the Senkos, nothing on the spinnerbait... Only fished for about an hour when a rather big thunderhead came over the lake, and since I was in a tin boat I decided it might be time to call it a day.... Water temp was 57 everywhere I fished, and I saw no signs of beds or new weeds, only dead brown ones where I was.... A beautiful warm day even with the approaching thunderstorm.......

      Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went back to Selmac this morning, put in about 11:30 and went back to the resort side of the lake where I caught fish on Saturday... The best way to describe it was the weather was warm, but the fishing was cold.. I only managed one small fish in about 2 1/2 hours, which was also the only bite I had.. I talked to a couple of guys in a Bass Tracker (the only other bass boat on the lake today) and they said they hadn't done anything either.... Well, tomorrow Emigrant, in spite of the windy weather forcast on Ch. 12 tonight.... Gotta be my least favorite thing, wind......

Report: Water was extremely cold, shore access is limited. Best luck may be by the dam. Seabirds were actively feeding below the spillway, but I did not manage to catch anything at any of the locations I attempted.
