Report: Launched at about 6:30AM. No bites on topwater or ripish. Lots o lookers but no takers on small trout crankbait. Went upriver but water temp was only down 4 degrees rom main lake. Caught three ish on a 4" Junebug wacky worm in back o weedy coves. Fish were buried in the weeds. Had to drop the worm on their heads to get a bite. Lost two nice ish because o my manly hook set on 6# test line. (I got excited.) Good topwater action at dusk. Had one blow up on my Chug Bug but I missed him. Sunday-one ish in weedy cove. Mayday inished

Report: Hey Zach, It's a little cold for smallies this time of year. But ya never know I been thinking of takin the boat out and trying anyway. I have never fished for the big Bows in the lake, I just fish for bass mainly. I fish the river near Cocolla slew all summer and have done really well for both LM and SM. I hooked a LM that I think would have gone close to 10 lbs. there this summer but it cut me off in the rocks. I did get a 6 1/2 lb. LM there this year and a 4 lb. SM though.
      City: Priest Riv.

Tips: I fish my soft plastic sinking stick baits near the culvert on Cocolla slew. I get tons of fish there.

      Water Temp: 64-65

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: i've been ishing lake perris or 10 years now and i'm still not that good o a isherman, however, i've ished every thursday or the last 4 months, the irst 2 months without a bite, then mostly 3 to 4 lbs every time the water temp is above 61deg. mostly due to my technique,"tiny baits" on 4# test. drop shot 1-1/2" plastic minnows (rattlesnake) or in-s ish 2-1/2" in rainbow trout, ark shiner or any smoke sparkle swim bait. smother it with crawdad smelly jelly. you won't win any tournaments with this rig but you'll be getting bit a lot. it's a challengeto hang on to a 3-1/2lb bass on 4lb test. twich it on the bottom. yes you may go through a lot o hooks (snags are a bummer but in may 2000 i caught 54 bass in our hours at bernasconi beach. this really does work.

Report: The trout bite is on; or bass it is. I threw my 7 and 9 inch trout swim baits and caught our ish while I was down ishing Perris. I was ishing the bank and caught ish at the marina, and docks 5,6, and 11 and 12.
      City: resno

Tips: Throw the bait and let it sink down a bit; then start burning it below the surace; thats how I hooked up with my ish.

      Water Temp: 60's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the handicap dock at the dam at about 8am. I started out with top water and that didnt work. Went to the "go to bait" .....drop-shotting. Drop shotted in about 20 to 25 eet o water and caught 10 ish. I stopped ishing about about 1330hrs. I caught 7 smaller ish, 2 decent ones, and one about 3.5lbs. I used a 4" shad pattern kicker worm that I poured.....It seemed to do the trick.
      City: Fresno

Tips: I had my bait about 18 inches above my weight. Use any shad pattern bait; pre. my brand and wait or a tick or your rod tip to load up. Cant wait until they stock trout so that I can throw my "kicker-trout". Good luck!!!

      Water Temp: 62

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Good morning and late aternoon biting or bass along the three piers (now down to one), located in the south end o the lake. Best bass bites locate near the rocky cove, ar east end o the 3rd pier. Best trout bites 30 eet away rom the south end o the island, locating between the power boat low lane and the no boating area. Kind o dangerous ishing in this area, but great bites on the ishs. Best time to be out there is around 5:30am to 9:30am, and 3pm to 6pm. Fish will bite a bit i you have a camping light (propane lamp) hanging above the water. Throw a bit o scent materials down (I used a tablespoon o crab and shrimp paste mixed with oil), and this will attract the ish like crazy. Most o the catches were in the 10 to 14 inches, weighing anywhere rom 5 to 12 pounds. Still looking or a good spot...
      City: Azusa

Tips: Use nightcrawlers, anchovies, crickets, and bass scent or the plastic to get bass. Use nightcrawlers, meal worms, or anyworm or the matter o act, crickets, and large bees to get trouts..especially the crickets.

      Water Temp: 78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: This report is or anyone who is walking the bank here. Wow! Talk about hot weather!! The water is up and very clear now. We had a dropping pressure on us all morning long and we could'nt catch anything but those pesty dinky 6 to 10 inch bass! However, once the air pressure leveled o at 12:00 noon we were able to score on one good 3 lbs each between 12:00 and 1:00pm. You will ind (rom the bank) that the best place to ish is right at the edge o the weed beds which are clearly deined as a color change in dark green about 40 t. out rom shore.
      City: los angeles

Tips: With the VERY clear water here I opted or the lite line stu again. Given the chance o a big ish here, I should have used 6 lbs test instead o 4 lbs test. I broke o on the strike twice! Split shottin' small 4 inch worms worked best or us. The best bite o the day will be VERY early in the day until about 10:00am and then the last ew hours into dusk here at this time o the year. Just watch out or the hot, hot, hot sun! Whew!!! Straw hats with wide brims are a plus!! Best o luck!

      City: moreno valley

Tips: in the all look or breaking bass on surace make an long cast towads them and work the popper slowly pausein between jurks. slow is the key. when i ished the worm i used an split shot rig with about 14 - 18". cast popper over weeds in east end.

Its a long walk rom the ishermans parking lot but well worth it. Biggest ish or the day was a 21 inch 6.5 pounder using a neon purple worm. No ish that i caught was smaller that 11 in.
      City: Los Angeles

Tips: LOTS OF WATER!!! AND INSECT REPELLANT!! It was about 94 deg. and there was bugs everywhere!! The arther down you walk the dam the less boaters there are to deal with. They are not too riendly either.
