Bass Lake is located at an elevation of 3,400 feet in the Sierra National forest. It has 1,165 surface acres. Water levels fluctuate in this lake but are generally maintained through Labor Day.

While bass are available, there is also rainbow and brown trout, catfish, bluegill, perch, crappie and kokanee salmon for angling pursuits.

Campsites for tents and RV's as well as cabins and resorts are open and available year-round. This lake has full service marinas and several ammenities as it is a popular lake with the folks a short distance away in the Fresno area.

Report: fishing was tough. Threw Carolina rigs, drop shot, and cranks. Was bit once on a drop shot. Tough lake to fish due to weed problem EVERYWHERE. Beautiful scenery though.
