Southern California Bass Fishing ReportsThe map to the left will take you to each lake's page. Nacimiento
The lake lies in Northern San Luis Obispo County, however, the dam and water is controlled by the Monterey County Water Resources Agency. There are over 400 campsites and RV sites have both full or partial hook ups. All camping sites (with the exception of Sandy Point) are offered on a first-come - first-served basis. Nacimiento is the only lake in California stocked with White Bass. There is also a healthy population of largemouth and smallmouth bass. Directions: The lake is located west of Hwy 101, seventeen miles north of Paso Robles. Take the 24th Street exit in Paso Robles and follow the G-14 to the lake. Lake Nacimiento is located at an elevation of 2,605 feet. It has 11,000 surface acres and a maximum depth of 200 feet and approximately 170 miles of shoreline.
