  • Water Temp: 68

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the south end coves just about at the 5 mph markers and flipped 5 inch watermelon pumpkin seed senkos wacky rigged with o rings with weed guard to fish I could see and next to structure where I knew they would be and got 4 12-14 inchers doing that using 20 lb braid with 12 lb floro leader, The 12 lb floro leader rally makes that bait fall nice and slow with great action. I also caste to any mud lines I could find, main body or cove and caught 7 doing it that way. I fished a dart head with a 5 inch pumpkin seed worm for about 20 minutes with no luck an went back to the senko. I spoke to a nice guy in a Champion bass boat and he was tossing a 2-3 inch Kitech swim bait with an under spin and he was doing pretty good doing that.

Tips: The water is pretty clear everywhere I went, under that mud line is clear water also so what ever to throw, throw natural colors.

    Water Temp: 72-74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fab4 Derby was held on Monday, Sept 17th. Was on the water at 8:30 and off by 5:00. Right away caught 2 keepers around the ramp area on Carolina rig using 5" green weenie(20-25 feet deep). Caught another bass using the same technique on the east shore inside one of the coves. Also picked up a Crappie on a crappie jig inside the weeds. In the afternoon, picked up 3 more keepers on C-rig with green weenies. Tried cranking alot of the day but did not pick up any fish.
    City: San Jose

Tips: The lake looks perfect for cranking or jerkbaits but they did not produce a single bite. For us, the active fish were all in the 18-22 ft depth. The bite was extremely soft. No tap, just a little heavier.

    Water Temp: 72'-75'

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Started straight across from ramp in the weed patch. Picked up two dropshot fish, both around 1 1/2lbs.. Continued North along east bank picking up a few dinks. Boat traffic was minimal at that time. Wind and boat traffic picked up so we switched to cranking. Worked our way back toward the ramp picking up six fish between 1 3/4-2 1/2lbs. Top 5 around 10lbs.
    City: Santa Clara

Tips: Fish are feeding mainly on shad. Most fish were caught in the chocolate water between 3ft. to 12ft. Strikes are violent. Very fun! Dropshot slow, crank fast. Tight Lines

    Water Temp: 73.4

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Finally got my boat on back on the water after a 10 month hiatus due to my slow progress on recarpeting her.

Launched around 12:00 and took 3 laps of the lake to burn of the bad gas and get the RPM's back to normal.

Lake is very low. Island to the left of the ramp is fully exposed. Both the North and South shallow ends are now dry land. Trees to the South of the bridge exposed.

Was very windy all afternoon. One blowup on a frog in the weeds and that was it.
    City: Monterey

Tips: Don't let gas sit in a half empty fuel tank for 10 months without putting in some stabilzer. The ethanol pulls water into your fuel tank!

Report: Been fishing Anderson a couple of weeks. Catching 3 to 10 fish per day, with largest going about 2 lb, and average about 1 1/4 lb. Easiest to catch on 4" drop shot worms. Better fish coming on Senkos or 6" Texas rig. Darker shades of worm on cloudy days, lighter colors on sunny. Fish are at about 24 ft.
    City: San Jose

Tips: In about 3 weeks, the fishing should be really good.

    Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started 8 0clock , went right and hit the first three point on the main lake . Drop shot was the only thing I could get them to eat. Biggest was 2 maybe 2 1/2.. Graphed fish in 25 to 40 feet suspended , could not catch them tho .

Any tips for catching suspended fish or just fish in general on this lake this time of the year would be appreciated.

    Water Temp: 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water by 1pm and was off at 4pm. Ran to the left most end of the lake to hit up some rocky points and work some structure. My buddy picked up the first one pounder on a silver and blue Ratl-trap. I switched to a shad color clackin-rap and tied into the next 1 lber. Seemed they would not get any bigger either. A couple more off the points and a final one working submerged trees. A little rain, 2 hours of no wind, tons of wildlife, pretty good 3 hours of fishing...
    City: Sunnyvale

Tips: Shad or silver Ratl-trap or similar was key. Work points in about 4-6 feet of water. On muddy banks, work structure for hookups.

    Water Temp: 69

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished 9-12. Overcast and thought it would be a good top water or crank bait day. Neither worked for me. Caught 9 bass all under 2 lbs and all on drop shot 4 "robo. Another guy said he caught a couple of nice bass on top water. Tried spinner bait and carolina rig and nothing.

Fish were 10-12 ft off steep drops and rocky shoreline.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Drop shot 10-12 feet off vertical cover.

    Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Very hot WX. Calm winds made the fishing tough. Fished from 10-2 and only caught 12 bass. Caught 7 on crank bait and 5 on drop shot 4" robo worm. All fish were shallow. Cranking at 6-8 ft along rocky shore and mud lines. Same with drop shot. Nice to get a reaction bite finally. Reaction bite should really turn on when the water starts to cool. I was suprised to get bit on crank with the clear calm condtions.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Fish crank bait and drop shot shallow from 1-10 ft along mud lines.

    Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 2:30 to 5:00 Sunday. Lots of ski boats on the water. Teaching an 8yr old how to bass fish. Caught 14 bass all under 2 lbs. All caught on drop shot 4" robo worm in 3-10 ft of water along rocky shoreline. My 8yr old back seater hooked several on his own - 1st fish on his new Zebco 202 from BPS. He got to reel in all fish and lipped them on his own. He caught the biggest fish. Boat wakes seemed to turn the bite on.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Fish drop shot along mud lines shallow.

    Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Labor Day weekend and the lake was really crowded with wake boarders. Fished 2 hrs from 2-4 Pm. Caught 10 bass all under 2lbs. With the boat traffic coming very close I was surprised to boat any fish. The pattern was mud lines. Caught all fish on a drop shot 4" worm shallow along mudline breaks. Was teaching an 8yr old how to fish so he got to reel in a lot of fish and is "hooked" on bass fishing so to speak.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Fish mud lines shallow with drop shot. Wind & boat wake induced waves from deep to shallow water helped position the fish

    Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished for a few hours Sat. Thought there would be a good crank bait bite with the partly cloudy sky. Not true. Got one on shallow crank and and 4 on drop shot. Mud lines and points in 5-8ft worked for me. Not a very active bite. Thought I would do a lot better.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Throw shallow in mud lines along rocky shore and on points.

    Water Temp: 73an-79pm

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Great day at Anderson, caught a mess of fish on a variety of techniques all over the lake North and South. In the morning picked up a couple on a white spinner and a few more on a T-rigged Sweet Beaver (California 420). Mid-day to afternoon (got really hot) switched to C-rigged BBrushhog in watermelon and red flake and drop-shot RoboWorm Alive Shads in Sxy Shad and Ayu. Went through two packs, lost the bait on almost every darn fish!
    City: Monterey

Tips: Bigger fish ~2# hit the spinner, beaver, and brush hog. All the bigger guys were tight up against the bank. The little Anderson specials were all in deeper water ~10-20' using the drop shot.

Report: Fish were active all day. Caught 25 bass all 2.5lbs or less. Only a few really small fish. I fished 2 patterns. First was weeds up shallow 2-7ft with Crig plastics. 2nd was mud lines shallow with drop shot. Larger fish were caught on Crig. Good WX and a fun day. The bite was a little better AM with the clould layer.
    City: Foster City
