Hensley lake was good this afternoon I caught 11 bass in 3 1/2 hours nothing real big I had two of 11 bass that were about 2 pounds caught all the fish on 1/4 oz. Finesse jigs & 4" twin tail Yamamoto grub trailers
All in 7 to 15 feet of water and in 20mph winds
Eastman has better quality fish that will go on finesse jigs also both lake are low and the wind keep boater away. It's best time to fish both lakes.

    Water Temp: 52-56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: This is tough winter bass fishing at Hensley. Bass fishing is slow at this lake but it is quite possible to nail a few very nice size bass if fishing slow with either jigs, baby brush hogs or dead sticking senkos. No reaction bite at all today for my partner and I.

Broke off a trophy bass in a cove of about 11 pounds on a jig. That will surely keep us coming back for more...
    City: Fresno

Tips: Fish slow, slow, slow. My first choice is a 1/4 ounce football jig with a 4 inch yamamoto trailer. Good luck!

    Water Temp: 78 degrees

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Myself and a friend went out about 7:00am and caught a decent amount of crappie. Then I began bass fishing used a senko texas rigged in shallow area near shore and caught a 17" largemouth and a couple small throw backs. Decided to move towards the back channel and noticed a lot of bass jumping went to some spook jr.'s and caught a couple more throw backs. Hit a channel towards the back right and wacky wormed for awhile and only got one small throw back. Decided to hit the dam before we left and used some rapala original cranks and I landed a 18 and 1/4" on my 3rd cast by a rock pile. That was my limit of two over 15" my buddy, wanted to go back crappie fishing and caught a couple more and we left, black and green tube worked well for the crappie. Over all was a good trip, went on a weekday so not too many people out there. Will be back soon to try again, fishing report says don't waste your time, but I always give it a try and usually still have luck. Warning though is water is very low so be careful and aware.
    City: Madera

Tips: poppers in the morning, and senkos texas rigged when it warm up. If the wind picks up go near the dam and try some deep diver crank.

Report: Went the 8th and let the kids do some shore fishing since dad worked and didnt want to deal with the boat myself. They caught their trout but i wont let out my secret mixed colors i use to catch em. I can tell you this, people were offering to buy a ball of what i was making up...lol. Before it hits the bottom, fish on. I walked the shore and thinking no way will i catch a bass in this cold water...i was wrong. Dont want to post how good i did but i was able to land a few 3lbers in shallow water.
    City: Clovis

Tips: My only tip is powerbait for trout and big or little senkos for bass. You cant go wrong with the red senkos and if u use the big ones, cut them in half. Enjoy, see you there one day.
