DFW’s Hunter Education Program Presents 2nd Annual Youth Award

Please join us Saturday, Jan. 11, 3:30, at the Adventure Theater, for the presentation ceremony! Junior-hunting- license holders or youth under 16 who had a valid 2013 hunter education certificate were eligible. Contestants submitted an essay on what “Passing on the Tradition” meant to them. “A vital part of the hunter education program is passing on this time-honored tradition,” said Captain Roy Griffith, DFW’s Hunter Education Program Administrator. “We wanted to recognize one of the more than 20,000 students who pass through our program each year. We’ll do that with a lifetime California hunting license, valued at $600.”
