The Squall program started back in 2011 when we introduced the 12 and 15 size star drag reels, these were the successors to the very popular 525MAG. These reels were suited for long distance casting with their balanced spools and the Adjusta-Mag™ braking system. Needless to say these reels have earned their place on the beach over the past two years.

In 2012 we followed it up with the launch of the long awaited Squall Lever Drag.... in just over 1 year these single speed lever drags have grabbed a lot of attention and landed some very large pelagics. Function and ergonomics were at the top of the list when we designed the Squall Lever Drag, with a low profile lever, Switchblade™ lugs, and a 3 position clicker. Even though the Squall Lever Drag is lightweight and agile it has the guts to go offshore with a powerful stainless steel gear train and our proprietary Dura Drag ® material.
In 2013 we rounded out the Squall Star Drag family with a 25N, 30, and 40. These reels feature our exclusive Live-Spindle™ technology which gives them unbelievable freespool. Add in the HT-100™ Versa Drag™ system and you have the perfect reel for everything from trolling for Kingfish to jigging for Grouper.
