Wouldn’t it be great if you could change your lure’s sound in real time to match the exact dietary patterns on the lake you are fishing?
That is now possible. Livingston Lures has developed a new mobile application for iOS and Android operating systems that will be able to connect a Livingston Lure to the app using Bluetooth technology. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The first Bluetooth-connected fishing lure able to connect to our mobile application will debut January 1, 2016 . Incredible and unprecedented technology has made it to the world of sport fishing!
Livingston’s latest developments in Bluetooth technology enable the angler to wirelessly communicate through their mobile device and/or dongle [soon to be released] to their Livingston Lures. Anglers can now shuffle through over 30 different baitfish sounds available for download through Livingston’s mobile app. The 30+ EBS (Electronic Baitfish Sounds) sounds cover a wide range of baitfish, crayfish, crustaceans and other species common across the diets of freshwater game fish.
With the new Livingston mobile app, an angler can retrieve and log unique data about each fishing experience automatically. Examples of the data that will be available:
• The number of fish caught on a specific lure • Location and time for each catch • Lure type, lure color and current sound activated for a specific catch • Temperature and other climate information contributing to a
successful day on the water
Livingston’s mobile app uses data collected from the “Record a Catch” button and external sources that gather geographical information to keep a constantly updated catch log and conditions rating.
Traditional EBS only and MultiTouch Livingston Lures boast a battery life of approximately 200 fishing hours. For the casual angler, this means roughly two years. New EBS Bluetooth lures come with rechargeable batteries, boosting the battery life of each lure to thousands of hours.
The Livingston Lures mobile app will be available for download in the coming months and is absolutely FREE for download on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
