First of all, we as the only in the hook business have our own wire manufacturing here in Norway. Here we make individually sized wires for each hook size. Having the production on our home ground makes it possible to control and produce the best possible quality.
Making the sharpest point can mean leaving it dangerously weak, as the grinding and chemical sharpening process removes metal from the point of the hook. This can lead to the point rolling over when it comes into contact with gravel, or even losing sharpness when immersed for long periods.
