Story

I

t is something i say all the time - most guys own multiple rod and reel combos that set them back upwards of $150 to $200 each; but those same guys will do just like that old ZZ top song says and go get themselves a pair of cheap sunglasses. The “Mart” stores all have them - a display rack full of glasses bearing the signature of a famed angler’s name down the arm and you probably won’t even have to lay down much more than a Jackson to sport them to your next day on the water.

on the Shades

i know the price is the attraction here, but if you think cost vs. quality with the rest of the tools in your fishing arsenal, your sunglasses should invoke the same thought - don’t scrimp on the glasses, they are as important as your rod, your line, your swimbait and don’t forget they protect your most important fishing tools - your eyes. i understand being gun shy when dropping a hundy or two for something that there is the potential for you to sit on, to loose, to blow off your head while you’re running to the next spot or the dog to eat.
