he advantages of joining a local bass club
are endless: education, camaraderie, spe-
cies knowledge, and the list goes on; but,
what exactly happens within a club? What are the advantages of joining and becoming an
essential part of a tournament organization? We’ll
explore these ideas with a newly formed organiza-
tion – The Spokane Bass Club.

EDUCATION
There is no better teacher than experience. While experience often correlates to age, the only numbers important to tournament bass anglers are the weight of your largest five fish at the end of the day. I recently had the opportunity to talk with members of The Spokane Bass Club.
The organization began in 2013 and for such a young club, the environment is exploding with
excitement.
This is not necessarily because the club has
doubled in size from the first year, but because
the members are growing a vital piece to the
tournament puzzle – member education.
From understanding how the club operates to detailed conversations about successful tournament strategies, these guys and gals are utilizing every resource possible to be more successful on the water, and they are doing it together, even though they are competitors come blast-off. From teens to retired veterans, just about
