Brad has the patience, ability, and forethought to watch birds and other animals to see how and when they react to a pending storm, realizing, “if birds know a storm is coming long before we do, so do bass and other fish.” When the birds and the rest of nature around him give him signs of a storm, he heads to the water and he is usually way ahead of everyone else.

Fishing is a part of his outdoor based lifestyle, going out and catching bass is something Brad loves to do, his technique and excitement of

how he caught the bass is what keeps Brad going.

Then there are guys who love to just plain catch big fish, and always make a great showing at tournaments. A prime example is swimbait specialist, Paul Bailey; local to Clear Lake, he is all too familiar with monster bass. Paul recalls his personal best weighing in at 16.04 pounds on a Huddleston Deluxe out of Lake Casitas.

Paul, his brother Shaun and a few others made a DVD back in the day, Big Bait Posse which for me personally sparked curiosity into a whole new angle in bass fishing, it really was the first of its kind. Forty straight minutes of throwing big baits and catching even bigger bass. I’m sure that film is what lead to influence many other people and videos alike, such as the 2013 release of Big Bass Dreams, a DVD documentary about Oliver Ngy chasing his dream of catching a 17 pound bass.

I truly believe Paul and other “posse members” really pushed this movement into commonplace today. Paul believes
