be launched from a gravel bank such as tin boats and

kayaks. The fish population will suffer with these low

water conditions as food sources for predator fish

dwindle then they will turn on each other for survival.

Lake San Antonio is a severe example, but most bodies of water are lower than normal this year. If you look at your local lakes, I’m sure you can tell stories of similar conditions.

Fishing for bass offers a wide variety of variables to be concerned with but with low water conditions the variables are multiplied. Take the San Joaquin Delta for example. When you venture on this body of water the “normal” stuff we need to pay attention to like water temp, water clarity, fish holding structure, current weather conditions, etc. are concerns, but then add in the tides with fluctuating water levels and current that changes every four hours or so, the difference in the height of the tide, etc. and this is a very complex bass fishery to try to figure out on a
