He then releases the reel’s side plate. This can be done in a variety of methods, depending on the manufacturer and the model of the reel. After removing the side place, he partially pulls the spool out the side, exposing the shaft that he adds the oil to.

TIP: Some side plates remain attached once releasing; however some completely detach.

Mah then will move to the side of the spool that is revealed with the side plate open and again add a drop of oil.
