all of these are just examples of the level of detail that the best anglers in the business pay attention to when they are out there on the water. That attention to detail and their ability to fish the conditions instead of the spots they fished yesterday, last week or last year help keep them a step ahead of the rest of the angling world.

Being from Fla., both of these anglers are experts at looking at a field of vegetation and quickly identifying what are the best places to find the highest quality or highest concentration of bass. When faced with the daunting task of looking at a vast field of reeds (tules) or lily pads, these anglers look for areas of mixed vegetation and know that those areas present the best areas for finding what they are looking for. if they are flipping an area with vegetation, they look for isolated mats that have two or more types of grass mixed into one. if they can find reeds that have a mat of hydrilla with some hyacinth mixed together, that is where they start. if they are in a lily pad field and have hyacinth, water willow and hydrilla mixed into a clump, then the best bass are likely to be there.
