so make up your mind as to what you want your career to look like. This is the decision i am referring to. i recommend you set goals, write them down and go after them. When you write your goals down they become real things that you will achieve. read them often. i read earlier in my life, “whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. This is most certainly true so you need to believe that you can achieve the goals you set.

i would like all my readers to take a moment and ask yourself a few questions about how other people in the sport see you. are you perceived as an honest fisherman with people? it is important and points to your integrity. do you serve and help others willingly or are you only interested in yourself and hold the secrets

Previously, i warned you about all the rejections or “no”s you will get. The more rejections that you go through the sooner you will get to the first “yes”. That first yes to a sponsorship will make the second, third and lots more successes easier. don’t let the “no’s” get you down. Just keep working hard. When you get a no try to figure out the reason why you got it; so, you can be better next time. Maybe, it just isn’t the right time for the company to put someone on their pro staff. Whatever the reason, learn from it and go to the next opportunity.
