A dropshot, spoon, ice jig or blade bait are excellent choices for fishing while watching your graph as they are excellent for vertically jigging during the colder times of the year.
CRAWFISH
Bass will eat crawfish any chance they get. The problem with cold weather is that they sometimes do not get a chance.
Crawfish begin to hibernate and bury into ground. Many studies and experts mark the temperature that triggers their disappearance to 50-degrees.
If your region never gets below this temperature than following the standard crawfish locations like rocky banks and rock transition areas will continue to attract bass.
If you fish water below this temperature, then crawfish will

be on the move as temperatures drop. Since they typically hibernate in mud, finding transition areas where rock turns into mud is a prime location during
the fall as temperatures begin to drop to the
50-degree mark.
Bass will be right behind them as they
search for their last crawfish meal before
turning their attention to finned prey.
Now just because the crawfish are in
hibernation, that does not mean you
have to put away your jigs. Crawfish
imitators can still catch bass, but
more and more they will start to key
on baitfish.
As the water starts to climb
above 50-dgrees in the spring,
the craw locations and patterns
will begin once again.
SHAD
As it gets colder, shad can and will die off in large numbers.
