I prefer using Grubs and Gitsits that are white or chartreuse because they are visible and when
the fish picks them up you can see the bait disappear. Just keep pitching the bait into the nest until
the fish strikes this annoyance. There are many other baits but these are my preference.

If you're planning to go after bedded fish during a tournament, locate your spawn beds on practice days
but don't fish the bed on those days. Instead, figure some way of identifying the exact location
in case tournament day is windy or cloudy and the beds are no longer visible.
An example of an ID is to tie a ribbon or paper plate over the spot so you can cast to this area and
hopefully you'll be on the bed.

Most of the time you will catch the male first which is much easier than catching the female.

I dislike going after bedded fish unless it is a tournament. It's much better to "Catch and Release".
