Mohave - Winds keep anglers off water

2004-09-25 Nevada Department of Wildlife

Fishing activity was at a minimum during the weekend because of high winds. Even so, fishing was fair for boaters who took to the water and they were catching striped bass that ranged from less than a pound to slightly more than a pound. The action is still confined mostly to the narrows above Cottonwood Cove.

It was elbow-to-elbow fishing last Friday as a large crowd was on hand for the rainbow trout plant at Willow Beach. It appeared that everyone managed to catch three or four fish, but very few 10-trout limits were reported.
