Havasu - Stripers are Excellent
2004-10-13 John Galbraith of Anglers Pro Shop
"Striped Bass"
Striper action continues to be excellent
in the main basin from site 6 to mesquite bay.
Don't bother getting up early, best quality
fish are being caught in the 10am to 2pm
and then again from 5pm to 7pm.
Trolling topwater kobe, Osakas or
shallow running pointers producing the
best catches, though plenty of limits can
be had on cut squid or anchovies.
Local bass pro Jason Pintado caught
and released a 10lb striper trolling a shad
pattern jerk bait in the crazy horse shorline
area this last week.
"Largemouth Bass"
Final day of the "King of the River"
bass club competition was held on
sunday. The Kingman Bass club won the
two day event and was crowned
"King of the River club"
Parker Bass club was second and
sadly our own Havasu Bass club was last,
Though Havasu pro Jason Kisselburg
won both big bass awards for the two
days of competition.
