Midday fishing slow for stripers and bass. Still some nice catches coming during dark hours around the island. Vertical jigging strata spoons in the black meadow and sandpoint areas producing some quality stringers. Big striper this week was a 19.1 lb. caught at 11pm last saturday night at site 6. ABA Team tournament held on saturday Jan. 8th was won by the local team of Larry and Jason Marquez with 15.95 lbs. for 5 bass, worth $1048.00. Big Bass was 5.0 lbs.
