2018 FLW Tour Schedule Released
Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) announced the 2018 FLW Tour regular-season schedule Thursday in a live press event held at the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST). The 2018 season will feature seven tournaments, broadcast in high-definition (HD) on NBC Sports Network, the Pursuit Channel and the World Fishing Network, which will showcase the best bass anglers in the world competing in the most competitive circuit in the sport.

Ranger Anglers Sweep FLW Angler of the Year Awards
Ranger Boats Pro Bryan Thrift claimed FLW Tour Angler of the Year for the second time after a remarkable season that found the angler in the top-10 four times. The honor of Angler of the Year goes to the most consistent angler on tour and awards a $100,000 prize. Ranger angler Gary Haraguchi rounded out the Ranger sweep by winning the FLW Co-Angler of the Year award. The co-angler was awarded a brand new Ranger Z518C with a 200-horsepower Evinrude outboard.

Ranger Boats Pro Tom Wins FLW Tour Event on Potomac River
Ranger Boats Pro Tom Monsoor weighed a total of 66 pounds, 11 ounces, to win the FLW Tour event on the Potomac River on June 18. The win is the first FLW Tour victory for the longtime Ranger pro since he began fishing the tour in 2004. For his efforts, Monsoor won a total of $100,400 in winnings.

BRP, a world leader in powersports, announced today Team Evinrude had strong showings at this past weekend’s Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) and National Walleye Tour (NWT) events. In the final FLW regular season event on the Potomac River, held in Marbury, Maryland, June 15-18, 2017, Bryan Thrift claimed the Angler of the Year (AOY) title, with Andy Morgan in second and Anthony Gagliardi in third place in the standings. In addition, Mark Courts won the NWT event, held on the Mississippi River.

Boater Hunter Schlander of Modesto, California, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 21 pounds, 13 ounces Saturday to win the Costa FLW Series Western Division tournament on the California Delta presented by Power-Pole. Schlander’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 57 pounds, 1 ounce was enough to earn him $81,668, including a new Ranger Z518C boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude outboard.

Pro Cody Meyer of Auburn, California, caught a five-bass limit weighing 12 pounds, 8 ounces Friday to retain his lead in the FLW Tour event at Beaver Lake with a two-day catch of 10 bass weighing 28-9. He now holds a slim 3-ounce lead over second place pro Jason Reyes of Huffman, Texas, in the four-day event, presented by General Tire, that features a field of 161 of the world’s best bass-fishing professionals casting for a top award of up to $125,000.

Pro Cody Meyer of Auburn, California, caught a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 1 ounce Thursday to take the lead on opening day of the four-day FLW Tour event at Beaver Lake. The event, presented by General Tire, features a field of 322 of the world’s best bass-fishing professionals and co-anglers casting for top awards of up to $125,000 cash in the pro division and up to $25,000 cash in the co-angler division.

ONEONTA High School Wins FLW High School Fishing Alabama Open
The Oneonta High School duo of Laine Cooley of Oneonta, Alabama, and Noah Coleman of Pinson, Alabama, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 12 pounds even to win the 2017 FLW High School Fishing Alabama Open tournament on Logan Martin Lake. The win advanced the team to the 2017 High School Fishing National championship, held June 27-July 1 at Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama.

Grand River Dam Authority spokesman Justin Alberty says the crash happened at a Fishing League Worldwide[FLW] event near Check In Bay. Authorities said 166 boats were out on the lake with the tournament.
