State's Multi-Year Effort to Restore Threatened Species Showing Success New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos announced today that fisheries staff are busily stocking state-threatened lake sturgeon into several New York waters this month. The stocking effort is designed to help restore this threatened species.

CDFW Seeking Grant Proposals to Restore Habitat Impacted by Cannabis Cultivation
Regulations went into effect as of May 26, 2017 to close a 5.5 mile stretch of the Sacramento River to all fishing, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) announced. An emergency regulation had expired on Mar. 30, 2017, but was made permanent upon adoption of the Fish and Game Commission and filing with the Secretary of State.

The Delta Needs Flows
The 21-year-old Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan is outdated. The State Water Resources Control Board has begun the process to update this plan starting first with the most endangered river in America, the San Joaquin River. This process is called Phase I of SED for the San Joaquin River. Sign our petition to ask the Board to do the right thing.
