    Each year in December the Spokane Bass Club has their year end award banquet. We have raffles, food, laughs and also give out the awards for the year. This year we had five plaques given out; 1st, 2nd and 3rd in angler of the year points and an award for the biggest smallmouth and biggest largemouth.

    Our September tournament was held on the Pend Oreille River out of Morton Slough. The cool fall temperatures should have made the fishing excellent, but the results did not show it. Most of the field reported catching numerous fish, but the big fish eluded us and didn't make it to the scales.

    Our annual night event was again held on Newman Lake. The tournament hours were 7pm to 7am, making it a marathon event and allowing anglers to fish the evening, night and morning bite.

    This year was the first time that Lake Roosevelt was ever on the SBC schedule. The event was originally planned for Porcupine Bay but we had to move the tournament to Ft. Spokane due to Porcupine being closed.

    The Inland Empire Bass Club, Idaho Panhandle Bass Anglers and Spokane Bass Club all competed this year for bragging rights. The club with the highest average weight per team wins the right to have this trophy until the next tournament.

    The Spokane Bass Club's April tournament was held on Lake Coeur d'Alene out of Sun-Up Bay. The lake has a reputation for giant bass and although many of the field struggled, two great limits were brought to the scales. It was pretty split on the largemouth vs. smallmouth that were weighed in, but largemouth took the win.

    This was our first time ever hitting Silver Lake and it was our best ever tournament for big bags of fish. The weigh-in was a steady stream of solid bags and big fish being weighed. We timed it perfectly and the fish were biting all over the lake and with a variety of techniques.
