Western Rally@ Clear Lake Tournament Rules
The primary objective of a rally is to create an atmosphere of fellowship and camaraderie among anglers from around the Nation. Many of the participants have conversed with other anglers via the Internet, Bass Fishing Home Page and WesternBass.Com. This event will allow everyone to put faces with names and create many long time, cross-country contacts and friendships. A low key fishing competition is planned to allow maximum opportunity for all participants to meet new friends and enjoy the great fishing of The Delta.
In order to maximize interaction of participants, the Rally is designed as a "draw for partner" event for each half day of fishing. All participants MUST be in the draw for partners, with the exception of those wishing to fish with a spouse or significant other. Participants should complete the registration form as "boater", "non-boater", or "fishing with spouse".
Registration will be held at Konocti Vista Casino, ClearLake, CA on Friday July 18th beginning at 3:00 PM.
General Rules
This event is designed as an individual angler activity. The Northern California events of this nature started out as Nutcase Classics and we are continuing this tradition.
So the awards presented will be for:
TopNut - The Heaviest Total Weight

Session 1 - Saturday AM -Safe Light until 11:00
Session 2 - Saturday PM - 12:00 until 4:30
Session 3 - Sunday AM - Safe Light until 11:30
An angler may weigh two fish per session (for a maximum of six fish total) for the Heaviest Total Weight Award.
An angler's largest bass will qualify for each day's standings as well as the final Overall Big Bass award.
Weigh-ins will be held at Konocti Vista Casino in Lakeport.
Participants are required to check in at the weigh-in site after each fishing session even if they have no fish to weigh. This requirement is for safety reasons and will also make pairings for the next session go smoother. Failure to check in after fishing may result in disqualification.
All State, Federal, and local Lake regulations shall apply at all times.
Fish must measure 13" or more in length.
Fish are measured with mouth open and the tail extended to its maximum length.
The Official Measuring Board for this event will be the "Wil-E-Go Flat" Board.
Please exercise care in your handling and measurement of all fish.
Fishing must be done with rod and reel and artificial lures.
No trolling with big motor.
There will be no dead fish culled at the Western Rally@ClearLake. However, you will not receive credit for a dead fish.
The purpose of this rule is two fold.
1. It will require that all participants monitor the health of their catch throughout the event.
2. It will keep us in compliance with California Sport Fishing Regulations (Section 1.87, Title 14, CCR: Wastage of fish is not permitted)
All fish entered in this event must be caught during the event hours listed above to be eligible for awards.
Anglers must personally weigh-in their fish. No angler will allow fish caught by them to be weighed by another participant.
Fish must be weighed in the session caught.
Safety should be a goal of all participants.
Care and caution should be exercised in all activities including boat operation. Obstructions are routinely encountered at ClearLake. Participants must wear a Coast Guard approved life vest when the boat is running "on plane". In the event of inclement weather, participants should use good judgment in determination of safe conditions for all activities. Be cautious of ClearLake wind. Consumption of alcoholic beverages during fishing hours is prohibited. Participants take full responsibility for themselves and their equipment.
The Rally@ClearLake serves only to make anglers aware of opportunities to participate in activities with other attendees. Each party participates in any activity at their own risk without warranty, representations, or liability by the Rally@ClearLake, its organizers, directors, sponsors, boating partner, NCBF.COM, or WesternBass.Com.
All boaters must have a minimum of $100,000 boat liability insurance in effect to use their boat in this event.
Conservation of the The ClearLake fishery is a goal in this event.
Anglers are required to maintain their catch in good condition. ClearLake's water will be warm at this time of year. Extreme care must be taken to ensure the well being of the fish caught. Livewell additives such as "Catch and Release" or "Bass Alive" should be used by all participants. Live wells should be run continuously any time there are fish in them. Anglers are encouraged to maintain their catch in good condition. Plastic weigh-in bags will be available adjacent to the weigh-in scales. Weigh-in bags must have sufficient water in them to completely cover the fish being carried. Fish over five pounds must be carried to the scales in their own separate bag.
