Future Pro Tour's Berryessa opener to be on TV

ROCKLIN, Ca - A new TV show made it's debut several weeks ago in Northern California, and has really created a new kind of excitement amongst an angling community eager for a venue that emphasizes the fun and learning aspect of fishing.

“Fun Fishing” hosted by Warren Trumbly and Fisherman's Warehouse manager Alan Fong is just that kind of show and features segments of in-depth “how to” footage, as well as exciting multi species on-the-water action – always with an emphasis on the “fun” aspect of fishing.

On March 18th at the Future Pro Tour's big season opener on Lake Berryessa, the “Fun Fishing” film crew will be out in force filming all the action and fun that is sure to be had at this opening event, and will be airing the event the following Saturday, March 25th at 8:00am on Comcast Sports Network which will broadcast the event from the Oregon border to the Bakersfield area - and everywhere in between.

“We are very excited to be working with the Future Pro Tour organization and truly feel that their goal of providing an environment of both fun and learning for new anglers is totally congruent with ours”, stated Warren Trumbly executive producer of the show.

And the March 18 th event is gearing up to be as big as last year's opener with well over 150 teams competing for cash, prizes, and the coveted Future Pro Tour/Lake Berryessa title. Last year's event drew 201 teams and not so amazingly, produced double limits for just about every team that participated. This should make for some exciting footage and who knows….you could find yourself waving to your friends watching at home as you set the hook on a hawg-size bass! (Just don't go “Ike” if you miss one!).

We are currently taking entries for this opening event, and as always, from 4-7pm, will host an optional pre-registration seminar the evening prior to the event featuring a free premium product raffle, one-on-one instruction by some of the of the west's top pros, and a delicious all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet prepared by the great folks at Spanish Flat Resort. Late sign ups will also be available the morning of the event from 4:00-7:00pm at the Spanish Flat Marina store.

So shave, get a haircut, put on your sponsor caps, and have your best camera smiles ready to go as we kick off another great season of Future Pro Tour fun!

Lights…camera…action!

See you all on March 18th!
