MINNEAPOLIS (April 8, 2004) — Wal-Mart and FLW Outdoors are collaborating again this year to bring children and their parents a great way to have fun in the sun through the Casting Smiles-Fishing with Kids program – formerly known as Take a Kid Fishing. To gear up for the event taking place June 5 at Wal-Mart stores across the country, the official Casting Smiles Web site at has been updated with new information and added games.

The site, designed to support Casting Smiles, is available to children year-round and is regularly updated to help keep their interest in fishing piqued even when they are unable to get out on the water. The site is also an excellent resource for adults and provides tips for parents about how to introduce their children to the lifelong sport of fishing. In addition to providing online activities and valuable fishing information, the Web site offers a preview of the free, fun, educational and interactive games that will be available for children at Wal-Mart stores during the national Casting Smiles event.

The site also teaches children about conservation and various species of fish.
