Record Rainfall Doesn’t Dampen Ranger ® Rally Spirits

FLIPPIN, Ark. (May 2004) - Ranger ® Boats officials are pleased with the results of the first-ever Ranger Rally Week held April 23 rd and 24 th on the grounds of their manufacturing plant located in Flippin, Ark. Despite over 10 inches of rainfall during the 2-day period, attendance for the entire event was estimated to be nearly 5,000 people.

“Our customers are very loyal to us and many of them braved the elements to join in the festivities,” Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper said. “The event was just as much about camaraderie and friendships as it was about seminars, exhibits and boats.”

Some of the best Pro bass anglers of all time appeared on stage throughout the Rally to present seminars on the latest and best fishing techniques. Among those sharing their knowledge were Denny Brauer, George Cochran, Jimmy Houston, Hank Parker, David Fritts, Dion and Guido Hibdon, Rob Kilby, Kim Stricker, Jim Saric and Tommy Biffle. Attendees were especially entertained at the end of each day with a story telling session between the Pros and Ranger Boats Founder Forrest L. Wood.

“We were very happy with the response we received from those people that were able to attend,” said Keith Daffron of Ranger Boats, “We are strongly considering making this an annual event and will continue to add activities that make it a fun and enjoyable experience. This is a great way to keep relationships with our current customers strong and to introduce new customers to the Ranger family philosophy.”

Rally participants also visited Forrest and Nina Woods’ Outdoor Sports Gallery, which is home to more than a half century of local, regional and national fishing history. Attendees were also able to see first-hand how the legendary Ranger boats are built by taking guided tours of Ranger’s manufacturing facility.

Other features included a children’s fun zone, fishing pond, fish tank display, industry product exhibits showcasing the latest fishing gear and new models of Ranger boats being displayed.
