'WAL-MART FLW OUTDOORS' TV AIRS CONCLUSION OF FORREST L. WOOD CHAMPIONSHIP ON LAKE HAMILTON

MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 10, 2005) - Tune in Sunday, Aug. 14, to "Wal-Mart FLW Outdoors" on FSN for the conclusion of the $1.5 million Forrest L. Wood Championship on Lake Hamilton. Watch as co-hosts Charlie Evans and Keith Lebowitz take viewers through the season-ending weigh-in and award the winning pro angler $500,000, the sport of bass fishing's top award.

The one-hour show is the second of a two-part series covering the season-ending event of the $7.6 million Wal-Mart FLW Tour. On-the-water cameras give viewers an intimate look at the 12 finalists who compete for a career-changing top prize.

All anglers begin the final round at zero weight, with the winning pro determined by day four's heaviest weight. Finalists are survivors of three days of head-to-head competition that pitted them against the top 48 pros in the world. Pro J.T. Kenney of Frostburg, Md., caught the largest limit during the third day of competition on Lake Hamilton. His five-bass weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces.

The Aug. 14 show presents several mini-features with the 12 pros that made the final round after three days of competition. The features include FLW Tour pros Larry Nixon of Bee Branch, Ark.; Dean Rojas of Grand Saline, Texas; and George Cochran of Hot Springs, Ark. Nixon and Cochran, the two Arkansas pros remaining in the event, have combined earnings of $3.4 million, 52 Forrest L. Wood and Classic qualifications, three Classic wins and 20 tour-level wins.

FSN also flashes back to the 2004 Forrest L. Wood Championship where Spokane, Wash., native Luke Clausen won $500,000 by precisely skipping finesse baits under docks.

Additionally, FLW Tour pro David Dudley of Lynchburg, Va., participates in this edition of Fishing 101. Dudley, who won the 2003 Forrest L. Wood Championship, demonstrates how to properly retrieve a buzzbait.

FSN is the industry leader in providing the most up-to-date technology in television production. FSN puts viewers in the boats with the pros, shadowing them from sunrise until the final weigh-in using innovative camerawork that gives fishing fans the most intimate viewing experience available.
