Boar Hunting at Frank Raines Park

Post by Lugnut »

Just wondering if anybody has had any luck at Frank Raines Park, or anywhere within an hour or so of Modesto?

The hills back there used to be loaded with Pigs, but the populations have thinned out considerably in the past 5-7 years as they've traveled south quite a bit and been hunted pretty heavily. I used to hunt 'em on private property up at about the 32 mile marker on Mines Road, a little bit past Frank Raines, and have killed a lot of pigs up there. I've never heard of anyone hunting Frank Raines though, and didn't think that it was legal? I could be wrong, however.

I checked it out and it's legal. State owned, county enforced.
