BOAT POSITIONING WHILE FLIPPING THE DELTA ?

Post by Bassmeout »

With the current, wind... How do you guys position the boat in relation to the bank you are fishing. I try to leave the boat at 45 angle (Very hard to do some times) I'm usually flipping right in front of me and not ahead of me. Is this bad ? What's the best way to flip a bank ? right in front of the boat or always flip ahead of the nose of the boat
Hope this question make sense.

I think it's a matter of personal preference. It also depends if your partner is fishing with you. Personally, I prefer to stay back a bit and pitch more than flip.

Basically, do whatever is most comfortable for you. Keep in mind this may change depending on if you are fishing alone or with a partner. If I have two in the boat, I try to keep the boat parallel to the cover. If it is just me, I'll nose the boat in a little more to be able to hit exactly where I like. Alot of the time, I will stay back and pitch versus flip if I have two of us in the boat.

Tight Lines!!
